Course contents (core content level)
Students will understand target-oriented personal development as part of their studies. They will be able to use models to facilitate their personal development processes, which support their studies and working life. Students will get familiar with essential concepts of personal development.

Students will understand the role of personal development and group management.
Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
The objective is to analyse personal development in working life. Based on this analysis, students will design their personal study plans.
Core content level learning outcomes (skills)
Stuidents will scan their personal strengths and development needs, make target-oriented development plans and agument them. They will implement it, follow it up and assess their own development. When needed, they will change their plans.

The leadership and expert profiles made by the VIA Intelligence will be used. Leadership in an organisation, work satisfaction and motives, work experience, communication and meeting practices will be assessed. Students will become familiar with the core terms in the literature.

Teaching and learning strategies
During the course, feed back will be collected from student?s directors, colleagues, employees and others in close working relationship. Self evaluation will be included. Instructions will be given at the beginning of the studies. Students will collect information from literature and internet. General feed back session will be arranged. In private meetings with the lecturer students will introduce their personal view of study related strengths and development needs. Students will design their personal study plans and update it during their entire studies.
