Course contents (core content level)

The course deals with different issues linked with the field of art, such as the players and the structure of art in society; networks, hierarchies, power structures and rule systems as well as the receivers. The social shaping of artistic taste and its importance in life will also be discussed. Art will also be perceived as a discourse with long traditions: what and how do we discuss when we discuss art? Who is talking and who are we listening to?
