Painting and Drawing I
Course contents (core content level)
An introduction to the following illustrating tools: pencils, felt-tip pens, brushes, charcoals, chalk, watercolours, tempera colours and crayons. Students may be able to test these tools individually. The course will also give an introduction to the illustration techniques of both Finnish and international masters.

The aim of this course is to introduce the student to the basic tools and materials needed in illustration. The student will have a good command of the most important illustration methods. She/he will also know in broad outline the history of Finnish and European illustration.
