Course contents (core content level)
The unit focuses on routing fundamentals and basic router configuration. The student will develop skills how to set the initial router configuration, configure and troubleshoot
a static route or routing protocols RIP or IGRP.
Course contents (additional)
Router boot sequence and verification, setting the access lists (ACLs) to control the access to routers.

After completing the unit the student understands routing fundamentals, concepts of routing protocol and routed protocol, the basics of routing protocols RIP and IGRP,
RIP metrics, static route operation.
Core content level learning outcomes (skills)
Upon completion of the course, student is able to connect and configure a small internetwork of two routers. In internetwork troubleshooting the student is able to verify RIP and IGRP configuration and understand the importance of routing table.
