Course contents (core content level)
Measurement system, multimeter, oscilloscope, bridges, DC and RF power measurements, frequency measurement, spectrum analyser, distortion measurement, control system models and algorithms, LTI systems, test functions, L-transform, transfer function, stability.

Analysis and design of control systems, methods and principles, Bode plots.
Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
After completing the unit the student knows the constructions and operation principles of the basic measurement devices used with communication systems. The student has knowledge of the stability evaluation methods and Laplace transform applications in control systems.
Core content level learning outcomes (skills)
After completing the unit the student has skills to do dimensioning calculations for voltage and current measurements. The student can determine effect of the instrument bandwidth to the results both in time-domain and frequency-domain measurements. The student is able to use transfer function at system stability evaluation on s-plane. The student can apply block diagram and signal flow graph models with control systems.
