Serial data transfer between integrated circuits, devices, and personal computers. Microprocessor-based device in USB bus.

RS-232, I2C, USB-device development kit.

Student understands the principles of serial line communication. Student knows and recognizes different serial line communication standards.

After completion of the course, student can design a simple device to be attached to a PC. Student can search information from datasheets and can use development tool kits provided by integrated circuit manufacturers.
