? Graphical tools for describing statistical properties of measurement data
? Computational (mathematical) tools for describing statistical properties of measurement data
? Basic concepts of probability, random variables and their distributions
? Measurement uncertainty
? Confidence intervals

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)

The student learns to take into account the measurement uncertainty in analysing various kinds of measurement data.

The student learns the basic concepts and tools of statistical data analysis.

The student learns the basic principles of statistical experimental design (DOE)

The student acquires the knowledge to learn and to apply tools of statistical quality control including the ones used in Six Sigma quality policy.
