· Operation principle of spread spectrum systems, such as CDMA
· GSM/DCS1800 network architecture and operation principles
· GSM/DCS1800 radio interface and its operation principles

After completing the unit the student understands the operation principles of wireless transmission systems, especially cellular networks, such as GSM. He/she will have the basic skills required in maintenance, network design and network component design.
