Course contents (core content level)

Main views and section views, general principles of dimensioning, main instructions and functions of one CAD application. Classification, information content and presentation of one type of flow diagram.

Course contents (additional)

Categories of electrical drawings, basic rules, regulations, guide-lines and contents of circuit diagrams.
The principles to combine two CAD-programs in the production and maintenance of engineering drawings.

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)

Understanding of the significance of the use of CAD documents in the whole lifespan of a product. The student gets an overview of the role of technical (engineering) drawings and drafting in industry, and in an engineer?s work. After completing the unit the student can read and produce technical drawings especially in the field of electrical engineering. He knows how to use the standardized symbols and dimensioning and projections in technical drawings.

Core content level learning outcomes (skills)

After completing this course the student is able to apply CAD in creating scaled drawings in accordance with given instructions and models. Additionally, the student is able to draw flow charts with standard symbols with CAD. He or she is able to interpret the information transmitted by the technical.
