Prerequisites

Not required, the Business Mathematics is lectured under 1.year.

The contents of the course:
- the fundamentals and the statistical measuring
- the sampling research
- the discrete and continuous probability distribution
- the descriptive numbers
- the regression and the correlation, the dependence
- the graphs
- the computer-aided analyse of the statistical data with the SPSS-program

The course has been designed to give students an understanding of basic statistical methods and analyses.

Teaching and learning strategies

This course will be taught by lectures and assignments. Assignments can be done by the PC or calculator. The SPSS for Windows software is used during the course.

Assessment weighting and grading

To pass this course the student should score totally at least
the minimum grade with 40 scores including
- the obligatory ?case study?; 5 scores minimum and 15 scores maximum
- the obligatory examination; 25 scores minimum and 70 scores maximum

- the assignments; 15 scores maximum.
