Course contents (core content level)
The business plan will be made in groups of three students and the following points will be included in the plan:
- the operational environment of a company
- business operations and entrepreneuship
- the processes of a company
· marketing and logistics
· accounting and finance
- an abstract in Finnish
- the business idea in English
- self-evaluation and growing into entrepreneurship

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
The students will apply the knowledge on business economy they have learned during the first year to a real or real-like company by making a business plan. The aim is to innovatively plan and solve problems of a company starting out or operating in a typical way. In addition, the students will plan a business plan for a company already operating or to be established. All the essential business operations will be included into the plan.
Core content level learning outcomes (skills)
The students will learn to think logically and critically and also to make targeted long-term plans. They will be able to acquire selectively information on business operations from several sources. They will learn to evaluate business operations also from an ethical point of view. Their project working skills, oral and written communication skills and group work skills will be developed.

Teaching and learning strategies
There will be a meeting at the beginning of the course where instructions and a schedule will be given to the students. There are two intermediate seminars where the students will present a project plan and an intermediate report. They will also act as opponents to another group. The course will terminate on the fourth period in a final seminar where the finished business plan will be presented and the students will act as opponents to another group.
