- After the course the student is able to draw an overall picture of different courses connected to the business analysis, and is able to apply accumulated knowledge in specific business environment.
- The student is able to analyse different functions of business firms and to bring forth beneficial suggestions for future development.
- The student is able to perceive business firms as separate entities in which a multitude of intertwined processes are going on simultaneously.

- The student is able to detect and solve problems connected to different functions of business firms.
- The student is able to assess effects in efficiency and profitability caused by her recommendations.

The student refers to literature of the courses accumulated before and during the business analysis, and in addition she actively chooses sources of information beyond any course material.
Teaching and learning strategies
- The Business Analysis begins with an introductory lecture during which instructions for the course will be provided.
- The student writes the analysis on her own (or with a partner), and uses materials provided in different courses during the season.
- After 6 months there will be a workshop-style seminar where problems and solutions can be shared among students.
- The Business Analysis ends in 12 months with a closing event.
