The definition of mechatronics, binary sensors, hydraulic and pneumatic standard symbols, actuators, and directional valves, ladder and relay diagrams, basic mechanisms

Function and applications of Industrial sensors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems including logic and relay control
Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
After completing this course the student knows the definition of mechatronic. He or she can read hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams. Additionally , he or she knows how to use the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) in controlling of processes.

After completing this course the student can create basic PLC programs. Additionally, he or she is able to connect a functioning hydraulic and pneumatic system with PLC control in laboratory environment
