Prerequisites
No Evtek-studies required. Basic knowledge of programming and user interfaces recommended.

Applying software technology for the needs of automation. Designing and developing software architectures for automation.
Course contents (additional)
Exploiting of databases in automation. Different toolkits and exploiting them when developing automation applications. OPC-technology, developing of OPC-server and -client with self made code. Programming of components for the control system and user interfaces of automation. Diversifying of user interfaces with scripttools of the user interfaces.
Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
Course introduces students for implementing applications from ready made components, integrating componenents for the software architectures as well programming self made components for the automation applications. Students learns how to apply software technology for the needs of automation.
Core content level learning outcomes (skills)
Course gives skills to apply software technolgy for the needs of automation. During the course some of the software tools used in automation are gone through and used in PC- and laboratory exercises. Visual Basic and Visual C++ are used. After completion of the course student knows how to apply ready made components, integration of the components as well creating of own components.
