Basic principles of chemistry, stoichiometry, gases, atomic structure, chemical bonding, periodic table, oxidation and reduction reactions, thermodynamics, phase equilibrium, combustion gas reduction tehniques.

Waste and hazardous waste, environmental legislation and environmental rules and regulations of the authorities.

After completion of this course the student is able to understand the basics of the general and inorganic chemical principles and the chemistry of most common elements and the environmental impacts of chemicals.
