? the basics, the structure and the functions of the automation with a special interest in the processes of the biotechnical and food industry
? process dynamics and it?s effect on the control
? the basics of measurement technology, measuring scales, basic industrial measurements, the functions and the structures of the basic measuring sensors, the handling of the measurement signal, the data acquisition systems, the uncertainty of the measurement,
? PI diagrams and the drawing marks of the instrumentation
? industrial actuators, valves, pumps and blowers
? industrial controllers, PID control algorithms, open and closed loop systems, the analysis and the tuning of the control loop, the stability, the response analysis, the performance indices,
? the control system design and the simulation of the industrial unit processes

Special emphasis
? on the control of the processes of the biotechnical and food industry,
? on the structure, the component and the method of the control system,
? on tuning the control loop by using simulations.

? the structure and the operational function and the tuning of the PID control algorithm.
