Diagnostics industry; general methods of chemical diagnostics; diagnostics of infection diseases; different applications of diagnostics based on antibodies, nucleic acids , PCR , microarrays, gene and protein chips, microelectromechanical integrated on-chip devises and new possibilities of nanotechnigues

Course contents (additional)

Examples of genetic modifications and protein engineering in order to improve enzyme suitability to customers needs; stabilizing enzyme mixtures to achieve commercial requirements; effect of inhibitors and activators; effect of side activities in different applications

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)

After completion of this course the student understand enzyme reactions in biological raw materials and know how to strengthen or prevent them. He/she know production and application methods of the most important industrial enzymes

The students can utilize available enzyme processes and are able to develop new applications to different industrial fields. They are able to work in development, production, technical service and marketing tasks in enzyme industry
