Course contents (core content level)

Series and annuity. Applications of exponential functions and derivatives, temperature gradients and thermal flow, volume as an integral of liquid flow or area, energy as an integral of power, cumulative temperature, distribution functions, common distributions and probability, linear regression models.

Simple differential equations, nonlinear models

The student understands the derivative as a rate of change and integral as a cumulative sum.
The student knows the concept of probability and is familiar with some common distributions.
The student understands mathematical models.

The student can apply differentiation, integration and linear models in professional applications and can choose the correct probability distribution in simple cases. He can do annuity calculations.
