Current circuits 2, physics of the engineering, power electronics of the house technique, electric distribution technique

Course contents (core content level)

Transformers, motors and power electronic systems used in the electric house distribution technique. Connections and working principles of the power electronic systems. Dimensioning and choosing of them. Designing of the main and control circuits.

Course contents (additional)

The electrical disturbances caused by the power electronic equipments systems. How to minimise the effect of the disturbances

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)

After completion of this course the student is able to make main calculations of the motors installed in the house distribution network. Student is familiar with frequency converters and knows the working principles of them. Student is able to dimensioning and capable of choosing the frequency converters. Student knows the constructions and is able to choose a transformer to building.
