Grammar: inflection of nouns, verbs and adjectives, word order, personal, possessive and reflexive pronouns, numerals, adverbs, prepositions
Communication: work-related vocabulary, time-related vocabulary, prices, showing the way, telling about oneself, one?s family and studies

Communication: restaurant situations, booking a hotel room, fairs, telephone language
Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
On completion of this course, students will be aware of the fact that nouns and verbs are inflected, that the order of the words in a clause affect the meaning of the clause, will master the personal pronouns and know some of the objective forms of personal pronouns as well as some of the possessive pronouns.

After this course students will be able to tell some things about themselves, their studies, family and hobbies and interests at least in writing. Students will also be able to talk about the weather, make appointments, tell the time, date and prices.

In order to pass the course, students must pass the written exams (2). Continuous assessment during the course includes e.g. word tests. Active participation in instruction (min. 80% attendance on contact lessons) is also required.
