meetings procedure, notice and agenda, minutes of a meeting and a memo, participating in a meeting; working life reports and business letters, e.g. travel report, request for quotation, quotation, complaint, reply to a complaint; oral presentation, interpersonal skills related to goal-oriented oral communication in bio and food technology; formal report or summary, field-specific language and terminology in bio and food technology, conceptual systems

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
On completion of the course the student will be familiar with the conventions of meetings and the essential documents used in working life. The student will understand the relevance of interaction in the duties of the chemical engineering field. The student will have a good command of the basics of academic writing as part of developing his or her own expertise.

On completion of this course the student will know how to act in meetings and how to write the basic documents of a meeting. The student will be able to write business letters and report on issues related chemical engineering both orally and in writing.
