Course contents (core content level)

Principles of soil- and ground water geology, typical pollutant substances in soil and ground water, behavior of pollutant substances in different soil and ground water environment, soil sampling and analysis methods, principles of soil pollution risk assessment, cleaning technology of soil and ground water pollutants.

Course contents (additional)

Occupational safety question in soil and ground water projects, water sediments and cleaning technology of sediments.

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)

Students understand the effect of pollutant properties and soil character on soil pollution. Students can perform and make conclusions based on soil and ground water pollution risk assessments. Students are familiar with such a cleaning technology alternatives which are applicable to different soil and ground water pollution cases.

Students can act comprehensively in soil pollution situations from the identification of pollution to the final cleaning operations.
