The principles of quality thinking. Quality management systems (ISO 9000, EFQM), environmental management systems (ISO 14000, EMAS) and life cycle assessment (LCA).
Course contents (additional)
Continual improvement of internal operation. Quality verifications and internal audits. Critical review of life cycle assessment and conclusion making.
Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
After course students have the basic knowledge of quality- and environmental management systems concerning the principles of management requirements, auditing and continual improvement. In addition students understand the methodology of life cycle assessment (scope and coal definition, definition of product system, and inventory analysis and impact assessment of LCA).
