Course contents (core content level)

Circuit board manufacturing and materials, properties of different circuit boards, comparison of different types of soldering methods, basic principles of wavesoldering and reflow soldering, dispensing of fluxes and solder paste, temperature profiles, equipments used in mass production, safety at work.

Course contents (additional)

Solder defects, conducting adehsives, circuit board coatings, quality of soldering, mathematical problems applied to course content.

Students know typical circuit board materials and their properties, students learn typical soldering methods: wave soldering, reflow soldering, hand soldering and they also learn some typical safety issues in electronics industry.
