Descriptions
Prerequisites
DC-circuits, AC-circuits, analogue electronics 1, digital electronics 1, basic mathematics
Course contents (core content level)
Sources of interference, coupling mechanism, coupling modes, grounding, shielding, filtering
Course contents (additional)
EMC directive, standards, EMC measurements
Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
After completion of the course the student understands the sources of interferences, how interferences are coupled to a system and the modes of interference. The student can design systems so that interferences have less effect in the system. The student also learns to design filters, shielding and grounding.
Core content level learning outcomes (skills)
After completion of the course the student is able to make simple EMC measurements
