Strategies for effective reading and listening and their utilisation, derivation of words on the basis of context and word derivation rules, active participation in group discussions, improving the style and quality of one?s oral presentations

On completion of the course the student will have a satisfactory command of English for technology in general and the basics of field-specific English, he or she will be familiar with the vocabulary and use of English related to company world and education, and will be familiar with cross-cultural communication.

On completion of the course the student will be able to, in a satisfactory way, communicate in working life situations, describe field-specific products and the operations of a company, understand texts on topics related to technology in general and field-specific texts, give an oral presentation, and write a letter of application and a CV and survive a job interview.
