Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
On completion of this unit the student will know the requirements set for a package. He/she will have basic knowledge of package production, materials of packages and their properties. In addition to that he/she will know printing and finishing technologies of packages and the basics of environmental issues in packaging field.

On completion of this unit the student will be able to evaluate the quality and usability of packages for different purposes. He/she will be able to control how marking standards are fulfilled on packages.
