Local Area Networks, Internetworks, Virtual Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks
Course contents (core content level)
Scalable Internetworks, hierarchical design model, variable length subnetting, VLSM, CIDR. IP routing in general, OSPF interior gateway protocol, multiarea OSPF, BGP exterior gateway protocol, static and default routes. Route redistribution.
Course contents (additional)
ISO NSAP and NET addresses, RIP version 1 and 2 and IS-IS routing protocols, On Demand Routing, EIGRP routing protocol, BGP route filtering and policy routing. Helper addresses and Network Address Translation.

After completing the unit, the student will understand operation of static and dynamic routing in networks that consist of multiple routing domains.
