Local Area Networks, Internetworks, Virtual Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, Advanced Routing, Remote Access and Wide Area Networks, Multi Layer Switching.
Course contents (core content level)
Basic network terminology relating network troubleshooting: baselining, toubleshooting methodologies and tools. Systematical network troubleshooting and methodological network troubleshooting related to the OSI-model.
Course contents (additional)
Network documentation and baselining data communication networks. Troubleshooting ISDN-networks.

After completing the unit, the student understands basic terminology relating network troubleshooting. The student knows the basics of network troubleshooting methodologies and can perform troubleshooting tasks in complex data communication networks.
