Course contents (core content level)
Basic knowledge of Fourier analysis, frequency response and passive filters, circuit transients, step and impulse responses, transfer functions, use of Laplace transform in the analysis of electric circuits, system stability, use of soldering bit.
Course contents (additional)
Convolution integral, active filters, computer programs in circuit analysis.
Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
The student can calculate the properties of alternating current circuits and understands basic knowledge of Fourier analysis. The student can calculate frequency response of electric circuit and can design simple filters.
In the unit the student acquires basic knowledge of using methods based on the Laplace transform in analysis and synthesis of electric circuits. The student can calculate circuit transients, system functions and step and impulse responses. The student understands the factors that affect the system stability.
Core content level learning outcomes (skills)
The student can measure frequency responses of electric circuits. The student can measure transients of RC-circuits, RL-circuits and resonance circuits. The student understands after measurements how the component values affect the transients. The student can measure component values by LCR-tester. The student will be able to understand basic knowledge of installing components to printed circuit card and can use soldering bit.
