Micro- and macrostructure of wood, properties of wood and upgrading of wood products
Manufacturing and coating of wood based products (plywood boards, chipboards and fiberboards)
Wood materials and surface treatment
Stones; properties and upgrading
Manufacture of ceramic materials and products; burnt bricks, ceramic tiles, lime sandstone, glass, glass fiber, enamel and ceramic coating materials
Cement, concrete and mortars; composition, production and properties
Rock materials and surface treatment

- the properties of stones, concrete, mortars, cypsum, ceramic materials and glass
- behaviour of wood and rock materials under different stresses and their damaging mechanisms

The student is expected to be able to
- study the cell structure, moisture behaviour, applicability to coating and other properties of wood
- produce concrete
The student is expected to know the meaning of aggregate grain size distribution and watwr/cement-relationship to the properties of concrete
