- basic concepts and operations in print and digital publishing work flow (digital imaging, file formats, color definitions in publishing)
- basic use of publishing programmes
- Photoshop ?image procesing
- page layout ( Adobe InDesign)
- graphics ( Freehand tai Adobe Illustrator)
- www- application programmes ( Dreamviewer, Flash, Image Ready)

- special requirements and standards for cross platform publishing
- demanding publishing applications

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)

On completion of this unit the student will know the principles and basic concepts of print and web publishing workflow and it´s unit operations such as image processing, page make up and web page design.

On completion of this unit the student will be able to use image processing, page make up, graphics and web page design programmes for producing simple print publications and web pages.
