Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)

On completion of this unit the student will know the requirements of image originals for printing and print settings needed in print prepress workflow. He/she will know the basic principles of digital screening and color reproduction. The student will also have a basic knowledge of the color formats used in publishing processes. He/she will know the basic comprehensions and principles of color management.

Core content level learning outcomes (skills)

On completion of this unit the student will be able to make the print adjustments for a digital image. He/she will be able to use densitometer and spectrophotometer in measuring print quality and defining the basic densitometric and spectrophotometric quality factors. He/she will be able to make and use device profiles in color management workflow.
