On completion of this unit the student will know pup and paper production processes and the most important raw materials and their use in different paper and board grades. The student will also know how to control the formation of different paper properties with raw material and process variables.

On completion of this unit the student will be able to evaluate the paper quality and its properties in terms s of printability, runnability and usability in different printed products.
