Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
The goal of the course is to introduce the principles of the computer operations and components. The emphasis is on the practical approach to the issue. Specifications of multimedia workstations and networks for user and production environments will be studied from technological and economical perspectives. Different operating systems are discussed in general level.
After completing the course the student will
· understand the binary representation of information
· know the basic logic components
· know the principles of computer structure and operation
· be able to specify and configure computer systems and networks for different purposes, especially for multimedia operations
