Course contents (core content level)
The focus of this course will be on the development of the western cultural history from the classical antiquity until today, with the comprehensive concept of culture under scrutiny. The relation between art and and artefactual culture, with emphasis on social development and common ideological and cultural history will be discussed in the class.

The aim of this course is to give an introduction to the development of western culture, cultural consepts and ideological history and how these concepts are connected with the artefactual cultural heritage.
