The course covers lectures and course assignments on conservation of archaeological metals, lectures on decoration and patination of metals, visits to workshops, lectures on sculpture conservation and visits to the locations of exterior sculptures in Helsinki.

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
A further development of concepts and techniques introduced in Conservation of Metals I. This course is designed to provide the student with information about conservation of archaeological and marine archaeological metal objects. An introduction to the conservation of exterior sculptures as well as the problems connected with conservation and preservation.
