The course is delivered through practical assignments with emphasis on the basic woodworking techniques and maintenance of the tools. The course also covers different joining techniques, practising lathe work and wood carving.

Upon completion the student will have knowledge of the tools used in woodworking. He/she is able to use and maintain these tools and has a good command of the safety issues. Students have a good command of the basic woodworking techniques.
