Course contents (core content level)
The course covers lectures on the history of finishing materials as well as practical assignments which include applying a suitable finish for the objects made during the wood veneering course (or alternatively for some other objects) by using different finishing techniques (shellac finishing, callulose varnishing, waxes).

Students will gain a good knowledge of traditional finishing techniques used in furniture making including glossy and translucent finishes. She/he has a good command of the techniques/materials introduced during the course.
