The theoretical part of the course will cover the history and ethics of retouch. Practical part will cover issues such as ethical approaches to retouch and different retouch techniques and materials. Students are also required to carry out small retouch exercises.

This course will provide the student with knowledge of the history of different retouch techniques and materials. Upon completion the student is able to find the best retouch method for his/her conservation project.
