Course contents (core content level)
This course provides the student with information about the early art of painting (wooden support, gesso grounds) with emphasis on tempera paintings. During the course each student produces a copy of a tempera painting (mainly based on example from the 15th and 16th century). EVTEK Institute holds the right to reserve some of the best paintings on display while the students are studying at the institute.

This course is designed to familiarise the students with the techniques and materials of historical tempera painting. With the help of this knowledge students are able to produce a small copy of one tempera painting.
