The course covers colour chemistry, CIE Lab Tone space, properties of pigments and their chemical consistency, pigment research methods.

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
Upon completion the student will have a good command of the properties of historical pigments, chemical consistencies and information about the research of consistency. Students will be able to apply this knowledge to use when analysing pigments.
