Course contents (core content level)
The course includes the documentation process of art painted on wood, polychrome sculptures or other objects restored during conservation courses. Documentation work covers the written, graphic and photographic documentation of the objects. Documentation is done with the help of computers and by using documentation forms as well as image manipulation programs. Different chemical analyses (binding media, pigments) and analyses of cross-sections will be attached to the work. The work will be accomplished after the final conservation project is completed (final photographs, graphic documentation).

An advanced research of the documentation skills of conservation objects. Students explore the materials and structure of art painted on wood. Upon completion the student will are able to study and document art painted on wood, its materials and structure and base the treatment plan on these studies.
