Course contents (core content level)
An exploration of different paper types manufactured around the world. The consistencies of paper types will be studied both visually and by carrying out drop tests. The course also includes paper identification. The information acquired will serve as a basis for future conservation courses when documenting a paper conservation project.

Students learn to visually identify different papers and acquires information about the technical properties of different papers. Upon completion the student will be able to carry out simple drop tests. Identification of different paper types.
