Course contents (core content level)
The course deals with making papyrus and discusses the importance of papyrus. We will make papyrus sheets from the fresh reeds. Professor J. Frösen will give lecture on the history of papyrus, its use and conservation with emphasis on the conservation of charred papyrus rolls.

This course provides the student with understanding of the historical importance of papyrus as a writing material.Students will have a good command of conservation of papyrus and making of papyrus.
