Course contents (core content level)
The course covers colour chemistry, spectrum measurements, propoerties and chemical consistencies of pigments. Also research methods will be covered both in theory and practise.

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
Students will acquire knowledge of the properties and chemical consistencies of different pigments in watercolours, miniature paintings, art painted on paper and wallpapers as well as basic skills in applying their knowledge to practise when identifying and analysing pigments in different conservation projects.
