Introduction to Textile Conservation 2 cr., Documentation 1 cr.
Course contents (core content level)
The course provides the student with a sound ethical approach to the cleaning of textiles, cleaning methods and properties of detergents. Students acquire information about different methods used in moisture treatment.

The course will enable the student to understand the causes and effects of different choices of cleaning methods. Upon completion the student is able to choose a proper cleaning methods for textiles which are to be restored.
