Course contents (core content level)
This course covers the introduction to costume conservation as well as any problems relating to costume conservation. Students develop their skills in problem-solving with emphasis on the previously made alterations and other materials used in costumes. The course also covers the most common deterioration factors in costumes.

During the course student will be acquainted with costumes from different periods, conservation problems and their solutions.

The course enables the student to individually carry out a costume conservation project. The student understands the variety of viewponts in costume conservation.

Student is able to conserve indipendently a costume and she/he is able to find appropriate conservation solutions in question.
