Accepted passing of the first and second year textile conservation courses

Course contents (core content level)

The history of paper, and the development of paper manufactory. Identification and characterisation and timing of papers. Deterioration mechanisms and condition survey. Basicconservation treatments.

Thorough documentation and practical conservation of objects belonging to paper conservation area.

Upon completion the student will recognize paper types, knows paper history and is able to identify and date objects belonging to paper conservation area.
