Natural fibres, some synthetic fibres and fibre mixtures. Production and usage of textile material from the environmental point of view.

Core content level learning outcomes (knowledge and understanding)
The aim of this course is to provide the students with information about the basic structures and raw materials of textiles. The student knows the names of all natural fibres and some synthetic fibres, production methods, properties, finishing methods and wash and care instructions. The student knows the most common trade names of clothing textiles and is able to put this knowledge in practise.
